MyQ Garage

Hey, guys today I am going to talk about a product that we got in for review called MyQ and it’s designed to work with all garage door openers that use safety reversing sensors located at the bottom of the garage door track. MyQ installation should only take you about 15 minutes but we had our teenager install it for us because they thought they could do it under 15 minutes but nope ended up taking him 20 minutes altogether.

The $130 Chamberlain MyQ Garage Door Opener lets you open and close your garage door from anywhere with an Internet connection. It also grants you the ability to set custom alerts and monitor the open/closed status of your garage door.

PRODUCT FEATURES

  • Installs in minutes and works with your home’s Wi-Fi
  • Free app with no monthly or ongoing service fees
  • Included: Wi-Fi Hub, door sensor, mounting bracket, power cord and instructions for free app download.

All you need to do is screw a small bracket to your garage ceiling near any power outlet. Get the screws and anchors that are included inside the box. You then need to slide the base station onto the bracket and this is where it took some time because it did not want to slide it right. After some time we figured out what was wrong that our teenager did and fix the problem and it went in perfectly. All you need to do then is plug in the power cable and download the app to your phone and connect it via Bluetooth and your good to go.

The only part we have trouble with sometimes is that the MyQ can’t find a signal but after trying a couple of times we do manage to make it work. For more information please head over to https://www.chamberlain.com.

Disclosure:

The review listed above is my own opinion. I was not paid to post the review. However, we may receive free products in exchange for reviews from time to time. Otherwise, we review products that we personally bought/use with our family’s. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I have used personally, and think will be good fit for my readers
